The Reason Why I Created This Guide

So many people suffer in silence when their hair becomes damaged or severely matted. In my 28 years behind the chair, I’ve seen the fear, shame, and overwhelm it creates — and how quickly those feelings soften when someone finally feels understood instead of judged. Most clients believed their hair was ruined or that they waited too long; what they needed most was guidance, compassion, and a plan to move forward. I also understand hair neglect on an emotional level. While caring for both of my terminally ill parents, raising my daughter alone, grieving, and running a business, even basic routines felt impossible. I’ve lived the emotional state that leads to self-care neglect. This guide exists to give you gentle support before you ever step into a salon — no pressure, no criticism, just a calm, trustworthy place to begin again.
